As the foldable phone market heats up this summer, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has surfaced on Geekbench, and its benchmark scores are already sparking comparisons — especially against its main rival, the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

According to early test results spotted by NotebookCheck, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold clocked in with a single-core score of 2,276 and a multi-core score of 6,173. While respectable, these numbers fall significantly short of what we’re seeing from Samsung’s powerhouse.

By contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite Edition), has recorded single-core scores exceeding 2,800 and multi-core results well above 9,000 in recent tests — putting it in the same league as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

So what does this mean for Google’s new foldable?

📉 Lower Power, But Not Unexpected

This performance gap isn’t a shocker. Google’s custom chip — likely the Tensor G5 — has traditionally trailed behind Qualcomm’s top-tier processors when it comes to raw power. The story was the same with last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which averaged around 1,950 in single-core and 4,500 in multi-core Geekbench scores.

Still, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is showing a notable improvement over its predecessor. The leap in performance suggests that Google is pushing for better efficiency and smoother multitasking, even if it doesn’t dominate the benchmark charts.

⏳ Early Testing – Take It with Caution

It’s important to note that these are pre-release results, and the hardware may undergo further optimization before launch. Benchmark scores can vary widely, especially during internal testing phases. So while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold doesn’t currently match Samsung’s offering, it’s not the final word on performance.

📆 Release Timeline

Leaks suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold — alongside the broader Pixel 10 lineup — will be officially revealed on August 20, 2025. Until then, we can expect more leaks, images, and hands-on impressions to roll out.

📣 Bottom Line:
If raw power and top-tier benchmarks are your priority, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 appears to have a clear edge this year. But for those who value Google’s software experience and ecosystem, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may still be worth the wait — especially with its improved chip performance over previous generations.
